Well, some of you know that Angela and I have begun the "fun" task of remodeling our kitchen. This was all sparked by the fact that we really wanted a dishwasher. Our house is 50 years old, and so were the kitchen cabinets. The room is small, so we would have had to give up a cabinet to fit a dishwasher. Anyway, our parents suggested that we consider new cabinets if we were planning to tear apart one anyway. After serious consideration, we decided to go forward with the project. Last Saturday Angela's dad and brother came to help us. They managed to demolish the old cabinets in half a day, but then we had to figure out how to best repair the walls and ceiling. Anyway, we finally got things ready to paint, and now we're about ready to hang cabinets, starting on Friday. Here are some pictures of the project so far. I first show the kitchen in its original state, and then in various stages of disassembly.
