Feeling Fenced In

Another post in the month of August! I felt a need to end the month on a strong note. This is another post that will be text-light and photo-heavy, though. Another amazing project that got done on our home recently was the repair of our wooden fence (thanks Jim!). The fence had been sagging due to a rotten post ever since we purchased the house last December. High winds at several times weakened the fence considerably, until at last the post gave way and an entire section fell down and had to be moved aside. The three photos here show the fence at various stages. First, shortly after we bought the house. Second, a photo from July 3 showing the fence just prior to its partial collapse. The third picture shows our fence with its nice new sturdy post and supports. It looks good for 20-year old pressure treated lumber, and having the fence in good repair certainly improves the appearance of our covered patio area.
